Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Psych RN to provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care on multiple units, serving adolescents and adults with mood, anxiety, and thought disorders.

The position is full-time, 12-hour shifts (7:00pm–7:30am) with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and strong benefits. Join a dedicated team that upholds the mission and values of Forest View Hospital.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Michigan.
• Psych nursing experience preferred (6–12 months).
• CPR/Handle With Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a Psych RN. The Psych RN provides nursing care to patients on each clinical unit as assigned, utilizing the nursing process. Patient population serviced includes both adolescents and adults. Patients are hospitalized for a broad variety of psychiatric disorders, including mood, anxiety, and thought disorders. Patients may also require treatment in specialty programming for trauma, eating disorders, and dual diagnosis (both substance abuse and psychiatric issues). This position actively supports, promotes and works to fulfill the Mission, Vision and Values of Forest View Hospital using our Service Excellence program.

This is a Full Time, 36 hours a week position (12 Hour Shifts- 7:00pm-7:30am).

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• 6-12 months of previous Psych Nursing preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of the unit they will be assisting in leadership. .
• Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Demonstrates clinical competency in providing general nursing care. Basic understanding of psychiatric nursing theory
• CPR/Handle With Care certification preferred.
