AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. Grow with us through the Clinical Ladder Program, with salary adjustments up to 20% based on experience and achievement. Nursing licensure, BLS, and NRP are required.

The role involves patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and education for patients and families within a faith-based, community-focused hospital.

Qualifications

• RN license active and in good standing
• Associate's degree in nursing required

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.

Job Description:

Schedule:

3 X 12 hrs. shift Shift: Nights- Full time Location: Winter Park

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 1+ acute care hospital NICU setting [Preferred]

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required]
