Tufts Medicine seeks a registered nurse to independently deliver direct patient care in an intermediate care setting, following established policies and physician orders. The role emphasizes critical thinking, planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team to meet each patient’s plan of care.
The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a designated patient group, with duties ranging from documentation to discharge planning.
The Community RN Career Direct Care Pathway placement is comprised of four levels based on a RN’s minimum experience, education, and qualifications.
Level I - 0 - Less than 12 Months of RN Experience.
Level II - 12 Months - Less than 3 Years of RN Experience.
Level III - 3 Years - Less than 8 Years of RN Experience.
Level IV - 8 Years of RN Experience.
Location : D3, Intermediate Care- Main Campus
Hours : 36 Hours, Day Shift- weekend/holidays required
This role focuses on providing professional and nonprofessional nursing care services in accordance with physician orders. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Clinical Nurse duties: Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care needs of a designated group of patients or provides nursing care and identified clinical support tasks within the scope of practice for achievement of the patient’s plan of care as directed. Provides professional nursing care to patients. Requires a nursing license. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education.
The RN independently provides direct nursing care to patients and their families in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices.
