UAB Medicine is seeking a registered nurse to provide and manage patient care in a clinical area, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will interact with patients, families, and the health team while maintaining professional standards.

Must have an Alabama RN license, with CPR required within 30 days and ACLS within 6 months. Bachelor’s degree is preferred for recovery room experience. UAB Medicine offers strong educational and wellness programs.

Job Description

To provide for and manage patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. To deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation; effectively interacts with patient, significant others and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing and one (1) year of RN experience required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and one (1) year of recovery room experience preferred. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement. Current Alabama RN license required. Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Member of The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses Association (SGNA) and PALS certification preferred.
