Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for the Women’s Services Unit. You’ll provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a high-acuity setting, joining an amazing team that supports one another.

You will assess laboring patients, assist in delivery (including C‑Sections), educate families on medications, and maintain accurate charts. RN licensure in Florida or a compact license is required, with preferred BSN and acute care

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license or compact license; active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required within 60 days of hire/transfer.
• C-EFM certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for laboring moms.
• Assist in delivery, including C-sections.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, posting tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nursefor our Women’s Services Unit. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of laboring mom’s.
• You will assist in delivery, including C-Sections.
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 60 days of hire/transfer.
• Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
