Job summary

Valley Hope of Moundridge, located just north of Wichita, seeks a Registered Nurse to join our compassionate treatment team providing medical care during 30–45 days of residential recovery.

The RN will support patients from admission to discharge, delivering care in a mission-driven setting with infection control and safety in mind. Requires an Associate’s degree in nursing, Kansas RN license, CPR, and 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

• Assists with prescribed treatments and medication interventions.
• Records patient observations accurately and timely.
• Follows infection control procedures and universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures.
• Conducts detox admissions and monitors patients during detoxification.
• Maintains patient records and completes paperwork accurately.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors and clinical staff about treatment status.
• Responds to medical emergencies per established policies.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN): Full-Time (7:00am - 7:30pm)

Valley Hope of Moundridge, located just north of Wichita, has provided residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services since 2010.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• One (1) year of clinical nursing care work experience.

COMPENSATION:

• RN Starting Base Rate: $37-$42/hr

Shift Differentials:

• Night: $4.25

JOB SUMMARY:

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
• Follows established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (i.e., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens, etc.).
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
• Oversees non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
