Job summary

Temple University Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time 36-hour weekly night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), with every-other weekend and holidays as required. The RN will assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under physicians, using the nursing process.

Collaborating with patients, families, and the health care team, the nurse directs nursing support staff and adheres to professional standards and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• PA Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support required.
• Multi-State Compact RN license required or eligible.

Job description

This position is full-time 36 hours per week working Nights Flex 7p-7:30a with every-other weekend and holidays as required at Temple University Hospital. Assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Other Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required

Experience

• 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty Preferred

Licences

• PA Registered Nurse License Required
• Basic Life Support Required
