Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Radiology Unit in Dayton on a full-time, first shift. You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborating with the health care team to ensure safety and quality.

The ideal candidate is licensed in Ohio as an RN, with a BSN preferred within five years, and BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS as required by unit scope. New grads from accredited programs are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program (NLN, ACEN or CCNE) if new graduate.
• Return-to-work after 5+ years may require refresher course.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS as unit scope permits.

Responsibilities

• The RN uses the nursing process to provide care in all settings with the healthcare team.
• RN is accountable for professional development and practice within legal scope.
• Acts as patient advocate for safe care including delegation and quality activities.

Radiology Unit | Kettering | Full-time | First Shift

Responsibilities & Requirements

• The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers.


• The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.


• Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.


• The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies, of the organization and nursing departments

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse


• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse.


• A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.


• BLS certification


• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
