Job summary

Providence is seeking a Quality Assurance RN to lead clinical improvement strategies and drive performance improvement across departments. The role blends clinical expertise with data-driven change management to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.

The successful candidate will direct multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate auditing activities, mentor staff, and apply root-cause analysis and process-improvement methodologies aligned with Providence's mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
  • Registered Nurse license in WA upon hire, or in listed states.
  • Experience driving clinical quality improvement and patient safety.

Job description

The Quality Assurance RN is responsible for facilitating and leading clinical improvement strategies and initiatives to achieve clinical excellence. The role skillfully combines a primary focus on clinical knowledge with an emphasis on performance improvement. This position requires knowledge and experience related to clinical practice with the ability to coach/teach colleagues toward success. Responsible for utilizing data sets and information to identify opportunity and successfully mobilize clinical and other resources to achieve improvements. Directs multi-disciplinary workgroups, using proven performance improvement, change acceleration and facilitation methodologies to ensure clinical and/or operational effectiveness and excellence, quality outcomes, patient safety, and positively impact patient/family satisfaction. Directs and coordinates auditing activity required to support clinical quality. This position performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the Providence Health & Services mission, philosophy, and core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence, and stewardship.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire -OR-
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire -OR-
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire -OR-
  • Montana Registered Nurse License upon hire -OR-
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire -OR-
  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire -OR-
  • New Mexico Registered Nurse License upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent RN experience in an inpatient acute care hospital setting
  • 1 year of progressive participation in, and responsibility for, process improvement or healthcare quality management efforts
  • 1 year of experience with statistical analysis
  • 1 year of experience leading multi-disciplinary work groups
  • 1 year of experience with root-cause analysis and safety event review processes
  • 1 year of experience with clinical effectiveness and quality
  • 1 year of experience with service excellence and patient advocacy models
  • 1 year of project management experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
