Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. You will maintain accountability for patient care and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by teammates, coordinating with other departments as needed while protecting patient rights and confidentiality.

Education required includes an RN program (AD/Diploma/BSN) and an active Missouri nursing license. Various unit-specific certifications may be required depending on the department.

Qualifications

• RN license current in the hiring state and must meet state board requirements.
• BLS or CPR with certification or must complete within 30 days of hire.
• Education aligns with nursing program expectations, including AD/ Diploma/ BSN.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience:
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
