Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO is hiring a Registered Nurse for the IP Behavioral Unit. This on-site role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced behavioral health setting, with a flex shift and a schedule of 72 hours per pay period.

You will monitor patients, respond to care situations using nursing standards, and provide psychiatric nursing to a complex patient population while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required and active within the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 6 months of nursing (RN) experience or applicable clinical exposure.
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire and yearly recertification.

Department: IP Behavioral Unit

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $37.06 - $57.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

• Provides direct patient care in a behavioral health setting at a proficient level, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Monitors the patient to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
• 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
• Advanced CPI within 30 days upon hire and then yearly recertification to meet the BHA rules and regulations 11.9.3D
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
