Job summary

Palms Behavioral Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care on site, supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, and develop individualized care plans for patients in a behavioral health setting.

You will assess patients, administer medications, maintain records, educate families, and communicate changes to the care team, ensuring patient safety and quality treatment on every shift.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years of nursing experience in behavioral health preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and develops nursing care plans.
• Accurately administers medications with two patient identifiers.
• Maintains medical records and documents all patient information.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, medications, and safety.
• Communicates patient status and changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Hand-offs thorough care reports to oncoming staff.
