Jogan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with psychiatric experience to join our Lutcher, Louisiana program. You will provide direct patient care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure adherence to ANA standards and evidence-based practices.

The position offers day shifts, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits. RN licensure in the state, 2+ years of nursing experience including mental health, and BLS certification are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN licensure in the state of operation.
• Must have a nursing degree (Bachelor’s, Associate, or diploma) with psychiatric focus.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including mental health care.
• BLS certification is required.
• Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Charge Nurse, supervising LPNs, CNAs and Mental Health Technicians and ensuring ANA-aligned, evidence-based care.
• Collaborate to develop and implement treatment plans and individual Plans of Care.
• Serve as Medication Nurse as needed and support staff; teamwork is essential.
• Support DON as liaison between program staff and medical staff.
• Work within established budget and staffing guidelines; participate in Performance Improvement cycles.
• Model professionalism, positive attitude and excellent patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Jogan Health is looking for RNs with psych experience able to commute to Lutcher, Louisiana.

Title: Registered Nurse Psychiatric
Location: Lutcher, LA
Pay Local: $50
Pay Traveler: $26/hr + $55 Per Diem for days worked + Travel Stipend + Lodging Provided
Shift: Day Shift (36 - 48 hrs/week alternating)
Contract Type: 4 week assignment

Responsibilities

• Function as the Charge Nurse, responsible for nursing care and supervision of LPNs, CNAs and Mental Health Technicians. RNs assure that care provided demonstrates the ANA standards for care and utilizes evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of the treatment program, including individual Plans of Care.
• Serve as the Medication Nurse as needed and assist LPNs and all staff as needed. Teamwork is essential in this role.
• Assist the DON as the liaison between the program staff and medical staff.
• Work within established budget and staffing guidelines.
• Participate in Performance Improvement by engaging in the plan, study, do act cycle of improvement.
• Serve as a role model to others of professionalism, positive attitude, and excellent patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of operation.
• Must have a Bachelor’s, Associate degree or diploma in nursing with documented evidence of educational program focused on treating psychiatric patients.
• Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, 1 year of which was providing nursing care to the mentally ill, or receive regular documented supervision/consultation from a Master’s prepared psychiatric nurse.
• Certification in Basic Life Support required.
• Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.
