Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care for adults with behavioral health needs.
• Document in EPIC accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and recovery‑oriented care.
• Float within skill set; may assume charge nurse duties as needed.
• Precept new staff or travelers as required.

Description:Position available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health.The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, typically from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.Charting proficiency in the EPIC system is required.There is a weekend requirement, which may involve working every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week period.Requests for time off must be communicated during submission.The facility may call off one shift every two weeks.The candidate is required to work one holiday during the 13-week contract.First‑time travelers are welcome, and local candidates may apply.The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.This specialized inpatient unit provides comprehensive care for adult patients with complex medical conditions and co‑occurring behavioral health needs.Team members will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of care that prioritizes patient safety, recovery‑oriented treatment, and medication management.Nurses may be required to float within their skill set and may take on charge nurse and precepting responsibilities as needed.
