Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care from birth through the lifecycle using established nursing processes. You will work within our patient-centered team, following organizational policies and contributing to high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates are licensed in Georgia (multistate acceptable), with BSN preferred and BCLS certification. New graduates are welcome; hospital experience is a plus for PRN positions and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia required; multistate license acceptable.
• BSN preferred.
• Graduate from accredited nursing program; required.
• BCLS certification required; advanced specialty certs welcome.
• No experience required; new graduates eligible; hospital setting preferred; 1 year hospital experience preferred for PRN positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Coordinate patient care activities with assigned staff and maintain standards of practice.
• Contribute to ongoing professional growth and accountability within organizational policies.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
