Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an RN PRN III for Med Surg on the 3rd Floor South at our Fort Worth facility. The role supports patient care on an as-needed, day-shift basis with a minimum six shifts every six weeks, including weekend and holiday coverage.

The department handles a typical Med Surg patient load with strong leadership and excellent benefits. Candidates must have RN licensure and BCLS certification, with 1 year RN experience and 2+ years inpatient RN preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or ADN required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year RN experience required; 2+ years inpatient RN experience preferred.
• RN license upon hire required and BCLS required before independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient safety, physical, psychological and social needs.
• Engage family/caregivers in care planning and decision making.
• Provide compassionate, professional nursing care and maintain confidentiality.
• Practice teamwork and professional behaviors to support patients and families.

Work hours: PRN (As Needed) Day Shift

• 6 minimum shifts per six week schedule
• 2 weekend shifts per six week schedule
• 1 major/2 minor holiday shift

Here’s What You Need

Education

• Nursing Diploma required Or
• Associate's Degree Nursing required Or
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Experience

• 1 year experience as a registered nurse required
• 2+ years of inpatient RN experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
