Job summary

Southern Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will provide bedside care and ensure safe, high-quality nursing services to residents.

The ideal candidate holds an Oklahoma RN license, current BLS CPR, and preferably 1+ year’s experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care setting. Strong accountability and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Must have a current BLS CPR card
• One (1) or more years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.
• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Ensure the residents’ chart is current.
• Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions; notify appropriate parties of residents’ change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess the condition of residents.
• Keep residents’ family and physician informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications, or conditions of health.
• Modify residents’ care plan, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Nurse Aide flow sheets in conjunction with residents’ changes in condition.
