Maxim Healthcare in Central Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes. The RN will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, administer medications, and coordinate with prescribers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies education, care coordination, and discharge needs.

Responsibilities

• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements
