Job summary

Surgery Ventures, in partnership with HCA Healthcare, seeks a Perioperative Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center. You will plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care preoperatively and postoperatively until discharge, upholding our standards of quality care and patient safety.

Responsibilities include preparing the patient area, ensuring equipment readiness, conducting assessments, administering pre-op meds, managing IVs, monitoring dressings, and ensuring discharge readiness.

Qualifications

• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in PACU/ICU or Surgery.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher required.

• Prepare patients’ care area before case.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available for the procedure.
• Conduct complete physical and history assessment and review tests.
• Administer pre-operative meds and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Check dressings and operative site and report abnormalities.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.

SEASONAL RATE: $48/hr
PROGRAM DATES ARE OCT 1, 2026 TO DEC 31, 2026
Seasonal Program requirements:

• Current HCA Healthcare or HWS employees are not eligible to transfer into the seasonal program
• All Seasonal Staff are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week / 48 hours per pay period during the seasonal period to qualify
• Seasonal Staff may be asked to float to another center within the same division/market if emergent staffing needs exist
• Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off
• Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
• Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
• Schedules/shifts may vary based on center needs

Job Summary And Qualifications

Join our team as a Perioperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively and postoperatively until your patients are discharged. What you will do in this role:

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure
• Conduct complete physical, and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
• You will exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
• Check dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon
• Ensure your patients meet discharge criteria

Qualifications you will need

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
• Active RN license as required by state of employment
• BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
• ACLS required within 30-days of hire
• PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
