CommonSpirit Health in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Float/Flex Team. You will provide compassionate, high‑quality care across units, perform critical assessments, and implement patient care plans with a positive, reliable attitude.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to drive optimal patient outcomes. Ideal candidates hold a Texas nursing license, have at least 1 year of RN experience, and are BLS certified.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing (ADN/AAS) required.
  • Texas RN license upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR within 14 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to ensure cost‑effective, quality‑driven, patient‑focused care.
  • Collect social, psychological, developmental and spiritual data from patient and family.
  • Perform ongoing assessment, formulate diagnoses and goals, plan interventions, evaluate outcomes.
  • Document consistently in patient/unit records per health system standards of care.
  • Provide teaching on pain management, nutrition, skin integrity, fall prevention, diabetes, discharge instructions.
  • Demonstrate commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, ethics, and cost containment.
  • Engage in research activities and collaborate with outcomes managers and department.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost‑effective, quality‑driven, and patient‑focused manner.
  • Collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental and spiritual data from the patient, significant others, and other healthcare team members.
  • Perform ongoing assessment, formulate nursing diagnosis and goals, plan appropriate interventions, and evaluate the outcome of the interventions.
  • Consistently document in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
  • Provide appropriate teaching and information to patients and families on pain management, nutrition, skin integrity, fall prevention, diabetes, disease process, smoking cessation, and discharge instructions.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision‑making, and ensuring patient safety.
  • Use interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population, participate in research activities, identify opportunities for research, and collaborate with the outcomes managers and department.
Qualifications
  • Associate of Applied Science Nursing
  • Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
  • At least one (1) year of RN experience.
  • Registered Nurse: Texas, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support – CPR, within 14 days of hire.

Pay Range

$44.00 - $44.00 per hour
