USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Village is seeking a motivated Full-Time RN PreOp to join our team. We operate 8 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms across diverse specialties, with a schedule that excludes holidays, weekends, or on-call duties.

Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, medication administration, patient education, and collaborative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, while ensuring compliance with infection control and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Texas RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1–3 years in PreOP/PACU preferred; ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments and vital signs.
• Review and verify patient documentation, consents, and labs.
• Administer preoperative medications and monitor patient response.
• Educate patients and families about the surgical process.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff for smooth transitions of care.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Document care in EMR.

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Villageis seeking a motivated Full-Time RN PreOpto join our team.We have 8 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Colon Rectal, Neurological, GYN, Oculoplastic, Orthopedic, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, General, Plastic & Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology.Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call.Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and patient education.
• Review and verify patient documentation, consents, and lab results.
• Administer preoperative medications as ordered and monitor patient response.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding the surgical process.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Document all patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive pre-op environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
