Work Status Details

Regular Full Time | 72.00 Hours Every Two Weeks.

Shift: Nights.

Pay Rate Type: Hourly.

Location: Onvida Off Campus.

Salary Range: Minimum $43.93, Mid $57.10, Maximum $70.28.

Summary

The RN Preceptor is committed to lifelong learning with a spirit of inquiry and a sense of duty to provide compassionate, high quality patient care. The Super Preceptor is an upskilled preceptor with enhanced knowledge. They are resource experts, promoting best practices while serving as a mentor on the unit for the new RN graduate. In their role, they round on the floor to support both preceptors and orientees in delivering quality nursing care through educational, social, and emotional support.

Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with assigned preceptor, provide coaching through challenges and common problems; identify issues or concerns and facilitate resolution.
  • Initiate resources when signs of stress are identified to promote self‑care and wellness.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and provide just‑in‑time education; build confidence and support team members to seek out best practices. Find solutions to patient care challenges and empower new graduates.
  • Develop and mentor professional practice‑ready nurses; review TSAM phases/level of training and assist preceptor to monitor progress.
  • Manage documentation appropriately of encounters in approved tracking method.
  • Provide teaching and training based on evidence‑based standards in a learning environment.
  • Attend additional training as assigned and required.
  • Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • BSN required.
  • Preferred: MSN or Doctor of Nursing.
  • 3+ years experience.
  • Active preceptor experience in the past 12 months.
  • BLS and ACLS Certified.
