Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care from birth through the lifecycle, following the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. You will work within organizational policies and coordinate care across assigned staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold or be eligible for Georgia RN licensure, and maintain BCLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Georgia RN licensure is required and BCLS certification is required.
• New graduates are eligible; prior hospital experience preferred.

He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
