Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho is hiring a Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts. The role requires an active RN license, a multistate license with Idaho residency within 60 days, and BLS with ACLS/PALS within 6 months as applicable.

The nurse will provide age-appropriate care and ensure accurate documentation and safe medication administration. The ideal candidate communicates effectively with the care team, educates patients, and upholds professional boundaries while delivering

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to care for all assigned age groups (Neonate to Geriatric).
• Ensures accurate documentation of services and supplies.
• Performs comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Educates patient based on assessed needs and develops a care plan.
• Communicates patient status and plan to caregivers; documents appropriately.
• Prepares and evaluates medications; safe operation of equipment.
• Maintains professional boundaries and adheres to hospital policies.

About this position

Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).

• Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
• Demonstrates compliance with hospital safety policies and procedures.
• Performs and documents comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Educates patient based on assessment of needs. Develops, implements and evaluates a plan of care based on patient's needs.
• Communicates patient's current status and plan of care to other caregivers (verbally and in writing).
• Prepares, gives and evaluates the effectiveness of medications.
• Demonstrates safe operation of patient care equipment.
• Establishes therapeutic and professional boundaries.
• Integrates knowledge, experience, professional standards and hospital policies into nursing practice.
• Meets unit specific technical skills.
• Practices with the rules and regulations defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.

License/Certification
