Job summary

Logan Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Same Day Surgery team. As a Same Day Surgery RN, you will guide patients through pre- and post-operative care, educate families, and ensure safe, efficient procedures while delivering patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates bring strong assessment and critical-thinking skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset. BSN preferred; Montana RN license or multi-state compact is required or will be pursued.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact with authorization to practice in Montana.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Two years of nursing experience in clinic, physician office, hospital, or surgical services preferred.
  • Current RQI Provider (BLS) certification within 7 days of hire/transfer or prior to independent patient care.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, HIPAA regulations, and clinical safety protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, written, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver individualized patient care using the nursing process.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changing conditions.
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide post-procedure care.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, PACU staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Accurately document patient care and implement provider orders.
  • Maintain high standards of infection prevention and patient safety.
  • Anticipate patient needs and respond confidently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Shift: Day Shift - 10 Hours (United States of America) Schedule: 40-hours per week, 4 10-hour Day shifts. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
