Job summary

Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO is seeking a Full-Time Process/Recovery RN to provide comprehensive perioperative and post-anesthesia recovery care. You will assess patients, coordinate with the care team, and contribute to a fast-paced surgical journey.

Candidates must hold a Missouri RN license (or compact) and keep ACLS/BLS/PALS current per policy. This role offers day shifts, 36 hours weekly, and a strong benefits package from Freeman.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license or compact-state RN license. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
• ACLS certification required within 180 days of start date.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification required within 180 days of start date.
• Perioperative RN competency day annually by transcript due date.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements interventions and evaluates effectiveness.
• Delivers safe and effective perioperative and recovery care in a fast-paced surgical environment in coordination with the medical plan of care.

What You'll Do

In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families, plans and implements appropriate interventions, and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.
