• CPR/BLS Certification upon hire (Required).
• Perioperative credentials preferred (e.g., CNOR, CPAN) (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive preoperative nursing assessments via telephone, virtual, or in person.
• Escalates abnormal findings or high-risk conditions to leadership or anesthesia providers.
• Reviews patient history, medications, allergies, and prior anesthesia/surgery history.
• Coordinates preoperative testing, clearances, and follow-up evaluations as indicated.
• Provides patient education on preop instructions, medication management, NPO guidelines, and day of surgery expectations.
• Collaborates with anesthesia, surgeons, OR scheduling, and perioperative teams to optimize planning and reduce delays.
• Ensures accurate, complete, timely EMR documentation.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives to optimize perioperative workflows.
