Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN day shifts to provide comprehensive patient care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors; developing and implementing individualized care plans; administering medications; educating patients and families; coordinating with the care team; documenting in the medical record and ensuring infection control and safety

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Active RN license required; BLS required.
• Additional certifications listed in Licenses & Certifications may apply depending on unit/state.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments evaluating physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly evaluate and revise plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes.
• Evaluate effectiveness of care plans; adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team; participate in performance improvement.

Job Description
