Job summary

Memorial Health in Marysville, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Clinic. This full-time, on-site role is benefits-eligible and focuses on perioperative pre-admission testing to ensure patient safety and readiness for surgery.

Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, coordinating tests, and documenting in Epic, with opportunities to improve clinic efficiency and patient experience. Active OH RN license and 2 years in medical offices preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio nursing license
• 2 years experience in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Personal computer, data entry, and communication skills
• Ability to acquire American Heart Association BLS within 60 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments through in-person, virtual, or phone encounters.
• Review and verify medical histories, medication lists, allergies, and prior surgical/anesthetic experiences.
• Order and/or facilitate necessary diagnostic tests such as lab work, EKGs, imaging, and consultations per established protocols.
• Identify risk factors and escalate concerns to appropriate team members, including requesting additional clearances.
• Provide patients and families with detailed pre-operative instructions, including medication management, fasting guidelines and day-of-surgery logistics.
• Document all assessments and communications in Epic in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support the PAT Clinic workflow through effective time management, prioritization, and teamwork.
• Assist with workflow/process improvement initiates to enhance clinic efficiency and patient experience.
• Comply with all applicable regulatory guidelines, infection control practices, and safety procedures.
