Surgery Partners, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Post Surgical Unit at Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison, TX.

This full-time position supports patient advocacy and coordinated care for adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients following surgical procedures. The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS; ACLS within 3 months of hire, and at least two years of surgical floor experience.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a registered nurse (Texas).
• BLS certification; ACLS certification or completion within 3 months of hire date.
• Minimum of two years’ work experience as a staff nurse with surgical floor experience with spines and joints.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Formulates a goal directed plan of care, prioritized and based on nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a skilled, consistent manner to reach patient outcomes through nursing processes.
• Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
• Performs documentation duties on the floor and in the patient record with timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintains BLS and ACLS certification, attends mandatory in-services and participates in staff meetings.
