Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care within hospital policies, coordinating activities among assigned staff to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, with new graduates eligible. Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification are required; hospital experience is preferred for certain shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No experience required; new grads eligible.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred; 1 year for PRN positions preferred.
• RN Georgia licensure or multistate license required.
• BCLS certification required.
• Advanced certification in specialty area if applicable.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
