Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. The RN uses the nursing process and collaborates with patients, families, and the health-care team to tailor care plans to individual needs.

Required licensure includes PA RN, BLS, and multi-state compact licensing; a Bachelor's degree is preferred and graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty preferred
• PA Registered Nurse License required
• Basic Life Support required
• Multi State Compact RN License required or

Responsibilities

• Assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician.
• Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to standards of nursing practice and departmental policies.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and health care team to individualize patient care; additional certifications may be required by specialty area.

Job description

Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.
