Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in Platte, SD is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care while overseeing daily nursing operations. The Charge RN will coordinate staff assignments, mentor junior nurses, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care within regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, maintain accurate documentation, monitor patient status, administer treatments, and promote infection prevention.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice (South Dakota).
• Current BLS certification required.
• Charge Nurse or leadership experience preferred.
• Recent acute or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate daily patient care activities.
• Assign, supervise, and support nursing staff throughout the shift.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform nursing procedures as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
