Description:Assesses the patient's need for placement of a vascular access device.Determines the appropriate type of device to place and location for placement.Ensures the safety of line placement.Acts as an expert in vascular access ultrasound guided line placement, including peripheral lines, midline catheters, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters.Provides expert guidance to team members with the management of vascular access devices.Coordinates, teaches, and supervises care for a group of patients usually in the home setting.Participates in troubleshooting vascular access issues.Availability for on-call coverage during weekends and holidays as needed.Responds to on-call situations within 30 minutes.
