Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead patient care using the nursing process within professional standards. You will delegate, direct and support licensed and ancillary staff, ensure quality outcomes, and uphold diversity and safety in all interactions.

This role requires accountability and adherence to the Nurse Practice Act and professional guidelines. Responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, collaborating with teams, documenting care, and ensuring policies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Certification in clinical specialty area is preferred.

This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members. Assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes, exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions, and maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department's strategic goals and objectives. Demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports the company’s philosophy of nursing.
