Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem shifts to provide high-quality patient care and apply nursing knowledge to ensure positive outcomes. You will work under supervision and collaborate with the healthcare team to address daily patient needs.

Required is an Associate's degree in nursing with NC (or Compact) RN licensure and CPR/BLS. A minimum of 1 year RN experience, including a clinical specialty, is expected to support safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing (required).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred).
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty per ANCC or national nursing organizations.
• RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR) - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and treatments daily.
• Analyze patient data to guide decisions and interventions.
• Implement prescribed interventions ensuring protocol adherence and safety.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and improve outcomes.
• Seek guidance from senior clinicians on complex cases.

• Supports the analysis of patient data to guide medical decisions, treatment plans, and interventions.
• Helps implement prescribed medical interventions and treatments to ensure strict adherence to protocols and promote patient safety.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate communication and coordination of care to improve patient outcomes.
• Seeks guidance and advice from senior medical professionals on complex patient situations and challenging healthcare circumstances to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Experience:

• Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
