Job summary

Trinity Health's Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse for a per diem role in the operating room. The position requires OR scrubbing or circulating skills and strong patient advocacy in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of OR experience, including orthopedic and ortho-spine exposure, and hold FL RN licensure with BLS (AHA), ACLS, and CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of OR experience in acute care.
• Experience scrubbing or circulating in a busy OR.
• Orthopedic and ortho-spine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient advocacy and high-quality perioperative care.
• Assist with surgical procedures and instrument handling.
• Maintain sterile technique and safety protocols.

We are looking for extraordinary nurses who are strong patient advocates and have at least one to two years of Operating Room experience. Ideal candidates will have two to three years of scrubbing or circulating experience in a busy OR. Demonstrated assessment, evaluation, and technical skills gained from scrubbing in a variety of complex surgical procedures in various specialties.
• This is a PER DIEM position with NO benefits.

Job Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited (ACEN/CCNE) school of nursing is required.

Experience & Skills

• At least one (2) years of OR experience in an acute care experience.
• Orthopedic and ortho-spine experience highly preferred

Licensure/Certification

• FL RN license
• BLS from AHA
• ACLs
• CNOR preferred
