Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to work 1-on-1 with a pediatric patient, 9–12 hours a day. Training is available for new or inexperienced nurses. Competitive pay and weekly paychecks accompany a range of benefits.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to plan and evaluate care, initiating plans of care, administering medications, and documenting patient progress. Requirements include an active RN license, current health certificate, PPD or Chest X-ray, and BLS

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for the pediatric client.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as needed with the prescriber.
• Delivers therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, care, and discharge needs.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
