Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for pediatric inpatient care at the 32 Fruit Street campus in Boston. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of nursing experience and a strong background in pediatric assessments, medications, and patient safety.

Education requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. This on-site role offers a robust benefits package and retirement plans to support professional growth and patient care

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing is required or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Inpatient pediatric nursing experience is strongly preferred.
  • 2–4 years of relevant nursing experience is preferred.

  • Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.

  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Summary

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
  • Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
