Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a Specialty RN for the Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown in Louisville, Kentucky. This contract/travel assignment features day shifts and weekends every other weekend as needed.

The RN will perform patient assessments, develop and adjust care plans, mentor staff, coordinate with families and the health care team, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards during hospitalization and at discharge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN.
• Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend per unit need; Day shifts only.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to policy, procedure, and patient condition.
• Make sound independent clinical decisions and prioritize patient care needs.
• Initiate, implement, review, and revise individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
• Provide and coordinate patient and family education throughout hospitalization and at discharge.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor as assigned.
• Promote teamwork and identify opportunities for quality, safety, and service improvement.
• Participate in Practice Governance activities and implement changes in clinical practice.
• Comply with applicable regulatory and organizational standards.
