Job summary

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts. The RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care with medical providers, supporting pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and acting as an advocate for patients to enhance their experience.

You will assess patient status, perform provider-ordered procedures, document care, administer medications, and stay knowledgeable about cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS certifications required or obtained within specified timeframes.
• RN license and RN diploma required to practice as a RN PCU nurse.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications - RN PCU - FT DAYS

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
