Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is hiring an RN for Patient Safety and Risk Management. The role focuses on patient advocacy, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance within a high-quality hospital setting.

You will support grievance resolution, data review, and evidence-based program development while collaborating with facility leaders to drive safe patient care and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• RN with active license required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 3+ years of applicable experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 7 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the diplomatic resolution of customer service issues from around the facility.
• Assist with disclosure of reviews and/or events to patients and/or families in accordance with policy.
• Facilitate review of grievances and complaints addressing system and individual accountability.
• Work with leaders to ensure thorough grievance and complaint management.
• Assist with SEA/RCA process, Occurrence Reporting, and Clinical Safety Improvement Program initiatives.
• Utilize knowledge and research in evidence-based initiatives.
• Enter data into databases and programs.
• Identify and develop tools to improve reliability and communication.
• Pull medical records needed for review.
• Identify and respond to data variances.
• Assist with regulatory compliance (CMS, Joint Commission).
• Promote high productivity, competence, and professional development.
• Serve as mentor and clinical role model for change.
