Job summary

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA seeks an RN Patient Placement Coordinator. This role supports the Administrative Supervisor and Resource Coordinators during high-volume hours, helping design, implement, and monitor patient-flow processes.

Responsibilities include monitoring information systems for timely and accurate input and coordinating actions to ensure smooth patient placement while maintaining our commitment to safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field or equivalent education/experience
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • 3 years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate design, implementation and monitoring of processes to improve patient flow during high-volume hours.
  • Monitor information systems for timely completion and accurate input; reinforce processes centrally.
  • Coordinate with Administrative Supervisor and Resource Coordinators to ensure immediate staff compliance during peak times

The RN Patient Placement Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who provides adjunct support to the Administrative (House) Supervisor (AS) and Resource Coordinators (RC) during high volume hours by assuming responsibility to facilitate the design implementation and monitoring of processes to improve patient flow within the urban hospitals. S/he is responsible for centrally reinforcing process by monitoring information systems for timely completion and accurate input and has the authority to request immediate compliance from responsible staff.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field or equivalent education/experience
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • 3 years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Managerial experience in nursing

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
