Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, part of Duke Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient‑focused care in an inpatient setting. You will plan, administer and document nursing care per physician orders and hospital policy, while guiding licensed and unlicensed team members on your unit.

You must have an accredited nursing credential, NC RN license, and at least two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Work requires graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• 2 years of appropriate clinical experience required.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and hospital policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed care providers; act as charge nurse for a group of patients.
• Monitor patient status and initiate corrective action to ensure safety and quality of care.
• Document assessments, plans of care, interventions and evaluations in medical records.
• Support ongoing professional development and participate in quality improvement activities.
