Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care and support to patients across age groups. You will guide licensed and unlicensed staff and contribute to the hospital's mission.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, and ensuring safe patient environments under Medical Staff direction. Texas RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS certification.
• Ability to delegate to unlicensed personnel per Texas Nurse Practice Act.
• Strong documentation skills and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across age groups.
• Direct and supervise Licensed Vocational Nurses and nursing staff.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor responses.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and unit activities.
• Clarify orders and coordinate with licensed practitioners when needed.
• Respond to patient condition changes and implement appropriate interventions.
