Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care in a 170-bed acute care setting. You will lead the healthcare team, support clinical excellence, and uphold our service standards across units such as ER, obstetrics, cardiology, and orthopedics.

The role emphasizes compassionate, ethical care, teamwork, and ongoing patient safety through daily rounds and collaborative care planning.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
Current Nevada nursing license.
Current BLS certificate.
Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
Completes hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs.
