Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license required in Florida.
• ACLS and PALS certifications as required for certain units.
• BLS certifications (AHA/ARC) required or obtained.
• One year of RN work experience.
• Accredited nursing program completion is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
• May precept student nurses and new hires.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support.
