Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across all ages, following nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will work within organization policies and demonstrate professional growth while coordinating care with other staff.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, GA RN licensure, and BCLS certification. New graduates are eligible, with preferred hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• New Graduates are eligible and no prior experience is required.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• 1 year hospital setting experience is preferred for PRN positions.
• RN license in Georgia is required and BCLS certification is required.
• Advanced certification in specialty field may be applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
