UnityPoint Health is seeking an OR/PACU Registered Nurse to provide care from the operating room to recovery. You’ll serve as circulator and scrub nurse in the OR and monitor patients in PACU, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Shift is Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM, with call rotation required including every 5th weekend. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible applicants. If you thrive in a fast-paced team, join us.

Formación

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Two years of critical care nursing experience is required.

Responsabilidades

• OR: Assesses and monitors total physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of surgical patients from infant through geriatrics.
• PACU: Monitors postop surgical patients and updates plans of care post-anesthesia.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with standards and the patient’s plan of care.
• Communicates with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities

OR:

• Assesses and monitors total physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of surgical patients from infant through geriatrics.
• Develops and maintains an individualized, professional plan of care reflective of changing needs/outcomes and modified by evaluating the patient's responses to the plan of care during the operative phase of care.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with nursing standards and the operative patient's plan of care.
• Initiates teaching appropriate to patient procedure.

PACU:

• Assesses and monitors total physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of postop surgical patients from infant through geriatrics.
• Develops and maintains an individualized, professional plan of care reflective of changing needs/outcomes and modified by evaluating the patient's response to the plan of care during the post anesthesia care..
• Provides nursing care in accordance with nursing standards and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) patient's plan of care.
• Communicates with other members of the healthcare team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.

Experience:

• Two years of critical care nusing experience is required.

License & Certifications:

• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) /Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 18 months of hire date.
• Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence.
• Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
