Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time, 3rd shift. The RN will provide nursing care using the nursing process in collaboration with other health care providers.

You must be licensed in Ohio, have a nursing degree from an accredited program, and maintain BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required by unit. PACU or Critical Care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE).
• Refresher course evidence may be required for return to acute care after 5+ years.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide care to patients in collaboration with other providers.
• Maintain professional development and practice within legal scope.
• Act as patient advocate and participate in performance and practice improvement.
• Deliver nursing care aligned with the missions and values of Kettering Health.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers.
• The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.
• Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.
• The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies, of the organization and nursing departments

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse.
• A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
• BLS certification
• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
• PACU or Critical Care experience Required
